ghOstMiSt (Dewa Ayu Eka Putri and Putu Tangkas Adi Hiranmayena) focuses on practices of reflexive improvisation confronting cultural contradictions. Showcasing a live dance and followed by a discussion with Dewa Ayu Eka Putri, Putu Tangkas Adi Hiranmayena and Michael Schindhelm. The evening aims to give insight into the new cultural scene in Bali and beyond as told through music and dance. Walter Spies' spirit acts as a mediator between the cultures of Bali and Basel. Join us on a journey through space and time, fusing the rhythms and instruments of both cultures when "Atmospheres" for LUNASON Instruments and Balinese Gongs (2024) by Domenico Melchiorre and "Akaroot" for LUNASON Instruments and Balinese Gongs (2024) by Putu Hiranmayena are played.
