Dialogues at the Intersection of Quantum Science and Philosophy
Philosophical-Artistic Panel Discussion as part of the exhibitions "Libby Heaney: Quantum Soup" at the HEK (House of Electronic Arts) and "The End of Aging" at KBH.G. The panel discussion takes place at the premises of KBH.G.
Join us for a conversation featuring Libby Heaney, a visual artist who holds a PhD in quantum physics and Philosopher Susanne Burri. Together they will discuss the biotechnological revolution, the longing for a life without aging and an understanding of time in the quantum world. The dicussion will be held in English.

AGE-LESS: Why We Die
The event takes place at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel.
The Nobel Prize Winner Venki Ramakrishnan will present excerpts from his newest publication Why We Die: The New Science of Aging and the Quest for Immortality. The ‘science of aging’ is further investigated through a conversation between Venki Ramakrishnan and Michael N. Hall, exploring current stances on longevity research, why we might (not) die and what possible new treatments, genes have been discovered to facilitate longevity. The talk is moderated by Michael Schindhelm with an introduction by Alex Schier, director of the Biozenturm at the University of Basel.
